Phase 1: Observer Mode

Status: Shipped

Vera deploys as a single appliance on your AV network — one box, pre-configured, working without internet. Your existing processors, DSPs, and control systems keep running exactly as they are. Vera reads across the vendors on your rack — understanding what each device is doing, catching the moment it drifts from what was set, and telling you before the room does. Read-only out of the box; it never touches a live room.

Phase 1 includes:

  • ·Cross-vendor monitoring from one screen.
  • ·Desired vs. observed state, checked against what each device actually reports — so drift surfaces the moment it appears.
  • ·Signal intelligence and anomaly detection.
  • ·Role-based access control. Full audit trail with trace IDs.
  • ·Real-time status across your devices.
  • ·Fleet visibility: firmware versions and live device state across the vendors on your rack.
  • ·Alerts where you already work — your team's chat, ticketing, or webhook — when a device drops or fails.

Phase 2: Direct Control

Status: Roadmap

When you're ready, rooms move to Direct Control at your pace — device by device, Vera takes over each room you migrate, until the processor that locks you in becomes optional.

The goal: work that takes a control programmer hours is designed to collapse to a single command, so your team can set room behavior without proprietary scripting. Migration is yours to stage — one room at a time, legacy rooms staying in Observer Mode as long as you like. Direct Control is optional, not mandatory.

Phase 3: Automation Without Programming

Status: Roadmap

Configuration, not code — by design. Describe an outcome — "route the laptop to the boardroom displays, set the audio mix to presentation" — and Vera is designed to resolve it against the device map and carry it out. No script to write.

The Architecture
